Manually removing the Client Update Server registry entry

When uninstalling the Client Update Server, the registry entry may not get removed as expected. When this happens, you must manually remove the Client Update Server registry entry, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Itron\EnterpriseEdition\Installed\ClientUpdateServer, before upgrading the Client Update Server for the installation to complete successfully.

To manually remove the registry entry, open the Windows RegEdit tool and search for the ClientUpdateServer registry entry, select the ClientUpdateServer registry entry, and then select Delete.
